DIVO.TV writes about the value of culture: who pays for it, who collects it, what it earns and what it costs to keep. We publish analysis, not reviews. If your idea explains how money, taste and institutions move in the arts, it belongs here.

What we commission

  • Market analysis, 1,000 to 1,800 words: auctions, galleries and fairs, collecting, prices and who sets them.
  • The business of culture: how a film, a festival, a museum, a label or a fashion house is financed and what the numbers say.
  • Heritage and patronage: private collections, foundations, philanthropy, restitution, the economics of preservation.
  • Interviews with collectors, founders, producers, curators and advisers who can speak about decisions, not only about taste.

What we do not take

Reviews of a single exhibition, album or performance; press releases presented as articles; investment tips. We do not tell readers what to buy.

How to pitch

Three things in one short message: the claim you want to make, the figure or source it rests on, and who you are. A pitch with one checkable number is stronger than a pitch with five adjectives. Please do not send a finished article.

Terms

  • We reply within two weeks.
  • A single contribution is unpaid at present; for a regular column or ongoing work we agree a fee. Coverage is never sold: nobody can buy an article, an interview or a mention.
  • The author keeps the copyright. We publish first and keep the piece in our archive; afterwards you may republish it with a line saying where it first appeared.
  • Every figure needs a source we can open. Our editors check them and may cut what cannot be verified.
  • People and companies we write about do not approve the text.
