Léonie Cassel is the younger of the two daughters of Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel. She was born on 21 May 2010 in Rome and raised between Rome and Paris. 13 July 2026: the debut

Dolce & Gabbana staged its Alta Moda collection, Le Devote delle Dee dell'Olimpo, in a botanical garden on the eastern coast of Sicily. Léonie Cassel walked first, in a one-shoulder black tulle gown worked with three-dimensional roses, carnations and hydrangeas, with gypsophila dressed into her hair by Guido Palau.

The detail that carries the meaning is the running order. A house does not assign the opening look casually: it is the position that sets the argument of a collection, and it is given deliberately. Monica Bellucci, a Dolce & Gabbana muse since the 1980s, was in the front row. More than three hundred guests attended.

Whether this marks the beginning of a career or remains a single evening is not something we will speculate about. She has given no interviews and made no announcement, and nothing beyond the appearance itself is on the record.

A cosmopolitan upbringing between Paris and Rome

Bellucci and Cassel married in 1999 and separated in 2013, after fourteen years. Both daughters were raised across their parents' two countries, and Bellucci has said in interviews that the household priority was schooling and cultural grounding rather than visibility. That is the documented position; the day-to-day arrangements of the family are not public, and this page does not reconstruct them.

Two sisters, two approaches to the same inheritance

The contrast between the Cassel sisters is the reason Léonie is written about at all. Deva Cassel, born in September 2004, became a Dolce & Gabbana face at fifteen and has worked as a model and actress since, on the same runways her mother walked. Léonie, almost six years younger, took the opposite route by default: no accounts, no appearances, no professional images until she was sixteen.

It is worth being precise about what that difference does and does not show. It is a difference in public exposure, and nothing more. It does not tell us what either sister wants, and reading ambition or reluctance into a teenager's absence from Instagram is a guess dressed as analysis.

Our standing rule for subjects under eighteen is that we publish what the person or their family has themselves made public, plus verifiable matters of record such as a runway appearance in front of three hundred guests and an accredited press pack. We do not publish school details, addresses, images sourced from private accounts, or characterisations of a minor's personality attributed to unnamed friends of the family.

This is an editorial standard, not a legal one, and it costs traffic. Applied to this page, it is the reason several paragraphs are shorter than a competing biography would make them.

Corrections and updates

  • 30 August 2026. The lead and the standfirst were rewritten. The earlier version said that Léonie was growing up away from photographers, which stopped being accurate on 13 July 2026; the appearance was noted only in a postscript at the foot of the page.   • 30 August 2026. Removed a passage stating that sources close to the family described Vincent Cassel being seen with her in Paris. It was attributed to nobody, it concerned the private movements of a minor, and it did not meet the standard set out above.
